About Us
Our History
Over 25 Years of Commitment to Autonomy.
Founded in 1999, Children House was established with a clear mission: to provide youth and families with the tools for their own independence. Initially focused on vocational training and child protection, our organization has always placed human dignity at the center of its action.
Throughout our years in the field, we identified a major barrier to sustainable development: the lack of basic sanitary infrastructure. Driven by a logic of long-term impact, we integrated the WASH initiative (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) as a strategic lever.
Today, in Liberia and beyond, we are transforming access to clean water into a solid foundation for health, education, and economic self-reliance.

Children House identifies structural obstacles to autonomy—such as the lack of clean water—and implements long-term, professional solutions. Our work in Liberia is a natural maturation of over 25 years of field experience, moving beyond temporary relief toward sustainable, large-scale community transformation.
HELP OTHER PEOPLE
Strategic Pillars for Lasting Community Autonomy
Children House moves beyond temporary relief to address the structural obstacles that prevent families from thriving. Our current strategy focuses on transforming grassroots trust into large-scale, certifiable impact.

1.Scaling Impact
Phase of Growth & Deployment
We are currently in a high-growth phase, our scaling operations to reach through structural water over 300,000 people and health infrastructure. This maturation allows us to apply 25 years of community knowledge to regional-scale challenges.

2.Technical Coordination
Liaison between Innovation & Communities
Children House serves as the essential link between international technical partners, institutional donors, and the specific needs of remote communities. We ensure that complex technologies, like solar-powered boreholes, are managed with local ownership.

3.Sustainable Finance
Certified Impact & Carbon Vision
To ensure our projects are self-sustaining, we integrate environmental stewardship and a vision for the carbon market. By eliminating the need to boil water with wood, we generate 60,000 Gold Standard carbon credits annually, creating a renewable funding engine for future community autonomy.
